Jason Ader is the CEO and Portfolio Manager of Ader Investment
Management, which focuses on generating alpha for both family offices
and institutional investors by creating liquid investment portfolios
focused on the consumer and real estate sectors of the economy.
Jason Ader relies on fundamental research and a macroeconomic
overlay in order to identify attractive risk-reward opportunities. He then creates diverse portfolios while paying attention to long-term
fundamentals, including free cash flow and management quality, as well
as short-term market movements. In this way, Mr. Ader is able to manage
risk, generate returns, and preserve capital.
Jason Ader began also has lent his expertise and support to a number
of companies in his sector specialty. He is a Director of Western
Liberty Bancorp, the bank holding company for Service1st Bank of
America, one of the best capitalized banks in the Southwestern United
States. Today, he serves as
Chairman of the Board for India Hospitality Corp., the owner of flight,
catering, restaurant, and hotel businesses. In April 2009, Jason Ader
was elected to the Board of Directors for Las Vegas Sands Corp, one of
the world’s largest hospitality companies with properties in Las Vegas,
Macau, Singapore, and Pennsylvania.
Prior to his career on Wall Street, Jason Ader attended New York
University, earning a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance. After
earning his undergraduate diploma, he became a Buy-side Analyst with
Baron Capital. In 1993, after finishing his M.B.A., he joined Smith
Barney as a Senior Analyst. This background allowed Jason Ader to move
to Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in 1995, where he became one of the
youngest Senior Managing Directors in the firm’s 90-year history. He
specialized in the gaming, leisure, and lodging industries, and was one
of the first analysts on Wall Street to offer both high yield and equity
research on more than 50 companies in the gaming, lodging and leisure
sectors. This innovation earned him a ranking on Institutional
Investor’s All-America Research Team for nine consecutive years and for
three of those years, he placed at the top of the list of gaming,
lodging, and hospitality analysts.
